“Whether they are involved through donating their game or purchasing the bundle, they are making a difference”: jesthehuman’s No ICE In Minnesota Charity Bundle Goes Live With Over 1,300 Games Included

Charity content creator Jes Wade wants to support Minnesotans and is asking gamers to help.

The No ICE in Minnesota charity bundle created by the charity content creator Jes Wade, known online as jesthehuman, has gone live with over 1,300 games — including Quality Dreams, Reasonably Priced, Baba is You, and  EXTREME MEATPUNKS FOREVER. With works from 651 creators that range from video games to tabletop RPGs, the bundle is priced at a minimum price of $10 and will be available until early March.

As shared during the initial game jam that ran from January 7 to January 27, all proceeds will benefit Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota, a nonprofit organization that educates communities on immigration matters and provides free immigration legal representation to low-income immigrants and refugees in Minnesota and North Dakota. Wade shared with Exalclaw that “ILCM provides services based on capacity and has a generally high demand for services. The more funds we are able to raise, the more people they will be able to assist.”

“I am hopeful to see at least $250,000 raised to support the important work Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota does. I also hope we inspire others to create their own fundraisers to support our Immigrant communities,” elaborated Wade. “There are additional ways to help listed on the bundle page: Create a tiltify fundraiser for ACLU, or directly donate to Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota, Unidos Minnesota, or CAIR Minnesota.” Wade also shared a TTRPG focused raffle that is supporting Minnesota Freedom Fund, as well as a No ICE in California Team Fundraiser on Tiltify.

Jes Wade is no stranger to using their platform to raise charity funds through games. In addition to the newsletters they run focused on upcoming charity bundles and their own monthly charity work, Wade has previously ran a TTRPGs for Palestine bundle on itch.io that raised over $200,000 in July 2024, a TTRPGs for Accessible Gaming bundle that raised over $35,000 in October 2024, and a No ICE in California bundle that raised over $100,000 in August 2025.

When asked what inspired them to launch a charity bundle in response to ICE’s presence in Minnesota — which has severely disrupted normal life and led to the deaths of Renée Nicole Good and Alex Pretti — they said it was to combat a false feeling of helplessness. “I know how my community at large and I can help, thus the creation of the charity bundle,” explained Wade. “I know a lot of folks want to do something but don’t always know what to do, so whether they are involved through donating their game or purchasing the bundle, they are making a difference.”

Wade has not been the only one meeting the moment however they can. Outside of several nation-wide protests and a day of economic blackout led by communities within Minnesota, there have been several within the games space helping in their own ways. The massively popular Roblox has been a site of virtual youth-led anti-ICE protests and even trainings that educate people about their rights when dealing with ICE in real-world scenarios. Additionally, the independent games media outlets MinnMax and Giant Bomb teamed up for a charity stream and raised over $279,000 for the nonprofit organization VEAP that focuses on meeting Minnesotan’s urgent needs including food, rent, and other resources.

Despite recent changes to ICE’s leadership in Minnesota, the reality of Minnesotans under the agency’s occupation has not meaningfully improved. As one resident shared with The Handbasket founder and journalist Marisa Kabas, “If anything, things have just become more stressful and intractable (think trench warfare as a suitable metaphor).” With all this in mind, now is as good a time as any for a bundle of games that not only promises countless hours of play, but also supports people surviving a federal agency that conducts nauseating levels of surveillance and violence.
